CALEDONIAN SPRING unfortunately did not run up to form in the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot, but a good day out was had by owner Jim Kinnear, whose brother and sister both flew in from Canada for a chance to be in the hallowed Royal Ascot parade ring! The owners and trainers car park was the scene for after-racing drinks for our owners at the meeting with the best weather of the week!

We were absolutely delighted with BRYNFA BOY's run at Kempton on 20th where he finished 3rd. This horse has had more physical problems than any horse we have ever had and there is no doubt that he has the engine of a Ferrari, but the chassis of a Reliant Robin! He finished lame after his first run back this season at Newmarket on 13th May, when he fractured a splint and has been a regular visitor to the equine swimming pool in Newmarket. This has helped him back to fitness. Comments from so-called racing experts on the television coverage and the racing press were very wide of the mark concerning the lack of money in the betting for the horse equating to him not winning. On the contrary, his owners were told he had a very good chance and backed him accordingly.
